According to WordPress, all of the blogs that are hosted on their site are blocked in the country of Turkey.

I don’t know if this will hurt my readership … but, on principle, it’s rather shitty, and is, in essence, a human rights issue/free speech issue.

The reason, apparently, is because Adnan Oktar (pen named Harun Yahya), a creationist who also happens to be a Turkish millionaire, didn’t like some comments made about him and creationism on a number of WordPress Blogs.  So, he petitioned to get all of WordPress.com banned in Turkey.   It worked.

Ah … poor baby … did the boys at school make fun of you? …
