In this day and age of coming need, people will be turning to spiritual teachers, healers and leaders for answers in their search for truth. people will pay for nearly anything. somehow we americans think we can buy happiness, or really anything. so why would we be surprised at this…

Mediocre and fraudulent minds exist in every field known to wo/man… this is no better or worse than most institutions. For example, some people think that by calling themselves “scientists”, they are absolved from being narrowminded or just simply wrong

You are right of course. Getting a degree in a more “traditional” field from an accredited university doesn’t necessarily mean you have any idea what you’re talking about. And there really are plenty of scientists who are off their rockers or totally unable to think in broad terms.
