Star Trek’s Ultimate Fight: Kirk Shot First

The horror of all horrors (for geeks like me) has occurred:  they CGI’d the Original Star Trek!  Bastards.

The WHOLE appeal of the original is its’ campy ridiculousness.  The acting is bad.  The story lines are see-through morality plays with obvious (and revolving) plot lines.  And the scenery … oh, lord, the scenery!

If we lose the Styrofoam sets and cheesy star-ship models, we’ve lost the show.  The morality plays and bad acting, when set against the backdrop of such a silly set come alive and seem charming.  Against the backdrop of souped up CGI, they’re just crap.
