		<description>Oddly, birds aren&#039;t derived from Ornithchians.  They&#039;re derived from the &quot;lizard-hipped&quot; variety. The &quot;bird&quot; hip, where the pubis points back evolved 2 times, completely independently in dinosaurs! Strange indeed.

I&#039;ll have to look into the growth rings thing and get back to you on that.</description>

Some were, some werent.  Some were large and so me not.  Things all evolved.  Or the FSM created them the way they were.</description>
