California going Green … Again

Green California new legislation

Here we go again.  First they sign a law in the early ’90’s requiring a certain percentage of cars to be emission free … then they took it back.

Now this:

One bill proposes state regulators mandate cuts in carbon content from transportation fuels refined and sold in California by 10 percent by 2020.

A second bill calls for half of new passenger vehicles sold in California to run on alternative fuels by 2020. A third bill would require utilities to use renewable sources for up to a third of the energy they buy.

Two of the bills would require reductions of diesel emissions and other pollutants from ports, trucks, heavy construction equipment and other sources. Funds from a $19.9 billion general obligation bond measure approved by voters in November would support the efforts.–Reuters

We’ll see how long this lasts.  I’m all for it.  But after the Electric car fiasco, I have little faith.

  2. Hiya, I’m really glad I’ve found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossips and net and this is really frustrating. A good site with interesting content, that is what I need. Thanks for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can’t find it.
