The Surge on the Ground: Talking with Major Norrie in Iraq

Bob Wright talks with Major Norrie from inside Iraq on Bloggingheads.tv. He begins with Eli Lake who is embedded with Major Norrie’s battalion. Then spends a lot of time talking with the Major about a wide range of issues, particularly what it’s actually like on the ground for those who are conducting the current Surge in Iraq.

Journalism like this is absolutely essential to the understanding of what direction our Country should be going in. And it clearly highlights how capable and intelligent many of our commanders in the field really are. It’s a shame that the Commander in Chief is so much less equipped.

This is a good microcosmic look at–a good case study of–the facts on the ground.  We need more stories like this.
