Arguments for God

Are arguments (by that I mean rational arguments) necessary when we discuss the questions of God’s existence?  Some religious folk believe so.  But, do they hold water?  Why does one need them?  What about “Faith”?

“God exists.  Evolution exists.  Don’t put God in a box.”

–James Watters, Southern Baptist Preacher and Ret. editor of the North West Baptist Witness (also, my Grandfather).

I may no longer believe in God.  But, my Grandfathers statement makes more sense with a Christian conception of an omnipotent God than the strange circular reasonings of most apologists.  If God really can do ANYTHING, then why not in such a way that makes total sense with evolution, physics, the big bang, etc.  He’s God.
