Atheist Billboards

Why do we need them?

They make creationists sad:

Driving home from church recently, I spotted one of two new billboards sponsored by a local coalition of atheists. “Don’t believe in God? You are not alone” was their message, an attempt, the group declares, to let the city know that good people in Dallas, like atheists, don’t need God. I’m sad to see the ads go up in my city, but not really surprised. The drift away from conservatism in religion, and in politics, is much more obvious in our nation today.

I love these billboards. As a kid I often thought no one else was atheist, as I’ve grown up I’ve met more and more people. Non-religious people are growing in number and we have a voice.

  2. There is no greater time than now for people of the faith to stand.People are hurting and leaving the call that God has on them to.Christians must stop being fags.I have nothing against athiest they are brothers too,but the followers of God need to make their presents known. We are witnessing 1 timothy 4 verse 1 take place everyday, but we must stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The word needs evangelism now more than ever.

“I have nothing against athiest they are brothers too,but the followers of God need to make their presents known.’ You have got to be kidding me! They don’t already make their presence known? Those are the most annoying kind of people I have EVER met! Every block has a church, for crying out loud. You think we live under a rock? LOL!

No kidding, I use to live in a town that had over 100 churches and only like a dozen bars. That is seriously messed up.

I couldn’t disagree more. The world needs intelligent conversation not blind dogmatic faith.

Your religion will not go away, but it will continue to be watered-down so much that there will be little left and the difference between Christians and atheists will be one of semantics.

Am I one of those demons?

  4. Tony, that was funny. I shed a tear for the Creationists !
